What to pack for Menorca in May
Less than you think. A short list from twenty years of watching people arrive with too much.
May is warm in the day and cool at night. The sea is swimmable if you are brave, and nobody dresses up for dinner here.
The list
- A swimsuit, two if you swim daily
- Sandals you can walk the coast path in
- One warm layer for the roof at night
- A hat, a book and no laptop if you can manage it
- Sunscreen, which is expensive on the island
We have towels, parasols, bikes, snorkels and a shelf of paperbacks. Leave the rest at home.
